GETTING TO LAS CATALINAS

The closest international airport to Las Catalinas is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia (LIR), which offers direct flights from major connecting cities. Depending on your route, the airport is about 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes by car. Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José (SJO), near Costa Rica’s capital, is approximately a 4-hour drive from Las Catalinas.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
When you leave the terminal, take Route 21 to the right. Drive for approximately 35 minutes, until you reach a streetlight in Belén. Take Route 155 to the right, heading toward Huacas, for approximately 25 minutes. Immediately after Huacas, take Route 180 to the right, looking for Brasilito Beach (15 minutes). Once there, look for the signs for Las Catalinas, passing Potrero village (10 minutes). Continue, going up the hill for 5 minutes, and then down the hill. Arrive at the main entrance to Las Catalinas (GPS coordinates: N10 28.965 W85 47.169).
